Niel Armstrong: Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. He was born on August 5, 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in aeronautical engineering. Armstrong served as a U.S. Navy pilot during the Korean War before joining NASA in 1962. He passed away on August 25, 2012 at the age of 82.
Mahatma Gandhi: Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian activist and leader of the Indian independence movement against British rule. He was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India and led numerous nonviolent civil disobedience campaigns to achieve independence for India. Gandhi is known for his philosophy of nonviolence, civil disobedience, and his teachings on truth, peace, and equality. He was assassinated on January 30, 1948 in New Delhi, India. Gandhi is widely considered one of the most influential figures in modern history.
